A man drawn in black ink walks, then begins running. The image transforms into a photograph, then into a film. He leaps onto a train, which then begins moving. The man, the train, the film, travel through various landscapes, taking us with them. We follow him from gardens to forests, from oceans to mountains, this solitary walking dreamer. These images filmed on the fly in Super 8 were shot by an artist/gardener whom we find onstage, accompanied by a musician. The two of them invent a musical and acoustic story around these silent films, sometime amusing, sometimes slightly strange. It’s a story in images, a poem of acoustic objects, of dynamic lighting and hijacked instruments, all of it offered to our young audiences.
