Études tempophiles

In the photographs of Andrej Pirrwitz, each piece is set up like an experiment. The artist chooses in general to work in disused spaces, which he selects in terms of their plastic and visual qualities. Like a painting, each of his spaces is carefully staged: the composition of the frame, its spatial organisation, the choice and the positioning of objects are determined with extreme precision to create images in which the dimensions of time and space enter into resonance.
