Sixteen Times
Two girls, two voices, one guitar: Céline et Tressy have rebaptised themselves as June and Lula, in homage to characters created by the filmmaker David Lynch, and they sing in English, in homage to the singer Bob Dylan. Melancholy texts, playful, sometimes raw, love songs and falling-out-of-love songs, funny songs too – this female duo reinvents for us the spirit of folk and country music from back in the day.
guitar, voice June / voice Lula / bass, double bass Mathieu Baud

Vel
In an entirely other domain, Susheela Raman, the Anglo-Indian artist, presents her latest opus, Vel. She is one of the most creative artists of her generation, mixing genres to create a powerful, rich and unique sound. A sound which resembles her, European and Tamoul at the same time. A kind of folk sound tinged with soul, delicately crossed with the rippling, hypnotic traditional Indian tones. Onstage, Susheela Raman glows, inhabited by the power of her compositions. The purity of her voice perfectly complements her other talents, foreshadowing a concert of rare intensity.
voice Susheela Raman / guitar Sam Peters Landell Mills / tabla Aref Durvesh / drums Bernhard Schimpelsberger (aka Taalis) / violin Kartik Raghunathan
