In the living room, there is a piano, a little table and an old-style bakelite telephone. On the wallpaper we can see the space where paintings used to be hung, as well as where the fireplace used to be. Four characters can be found in this Bureau (Office) located outside of time – there to accomplish an extremely important task, answering calls from people needing to hear stories in order to go to sleep … With its beautifully chromatic palette of black and white, the Théâtre du Tilleul presents this piece of shadows and music, where the actors, stage manager and musician, themselves characters in a tiny imaginary theatre, tell wonderful stories to the wonderful children that we are, bringing us into their universe of fantasy and humour.
