Mamie Ouate, whose name coincidentally contains all the vowels in the French language, is – of course -- a little white lady. And Kadouma is a big black man, the last inhabitant of BlupBlup Island which they say is in Papuasia, in other words, far far away from here. Mamie Ouate is also an entomologist, a butterfly expert. At least that is what she says… At the end of the tale, the author tells us, our two partners will have taken a first trip, discovered some of the mysteries of relativity, learned that two and two do not always make four, that white is not always white and that in order to find the center of the world, sometimes all you have to do is follow your nose.
