Beyond virtuality

The two artists Simone Meier & Roland Sutter have been working together as an artists’ collaboration since 2008 (named neclectic since 2011). Both reached the BFA in 2009 at the University of Applied Sciences and Arts in Basel, Switzerland.

The exhibition with the title „Beyond Virtuality“ transfers parts of the virtual world of ALTER CONSTRAINT, (a global network organisation on www.alterconstraint.com) into the exhibition space at La Filature.
„Beyond Virtuality“ is about the daily entertainment and the grotesqueness of the cult, the esoteric and the consumer trash of everyday life. The two artists scratch on the glamorous surface of the show business by using different media like video and performance. At first sight the staging is good entertainment but it’s quickly being turned into the opposite...
